After Florida State University alumnus Mike Ortoll lost his daughter to a drug overdose three years ago, he was down and depressed. But he didn’t let that stop him from creating an award-winning 2023 documentary — “One Second at a Time: Battling the Monster of Addiction” — to bring awareness to substance abuse among young adults.
